                                                 ISABEL TIRADO

                                      Apr. 24, 1927-Jan. 30, 2018

Isabel (Romero) Tirado was daughter of Froilan and Isabel Romero, the fifth of six children.  She was married to Gilbert Tirado for fifty years.  She is survived by her six children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Isabel enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and baking.  She avidly followed news programs and current events.  For many years Gil and Isabel opened their home to family and friends during major holidays.

In the late 1950’s Gil and Isabel surrendered their lives to Christ following a Billy Graham crusade. They hosted many Bible studies and fellowship gatherings, and were active in several evangelical churches on Staten Island.  As a mother of young children, Isabel was active in children’s ministry, such as Pioneer Girls and Good News Club.

One of the highlights of her senior years was leading a ladies’ Bible study group at Salem Church.
