With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Thomas J. Sola, 45, of Staten Island, New York, who passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Born on April 3, 1980, Tommy brought light, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew him. Tommy had a quiet soul with a big heart. Although he was shy, he had a remarkable way of bringing joy to others, always ready with a gentle smile or a light-hearted joke that brightened the room.
Tommy was a loving father to his son, Angelo, a beloved son to Dolores, a caring brother to his sisters Melissa, Krystal, and Tami, and a faithful friend who will miss him more than words can say.
Though his time with us was far too short, Tommy's legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Tommy had a lifelong love for sports. Basketball always held a special place in his heart. Tommy, may you now walk the courts of heaven where the light will never fade and the game will never end.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm, at Matthew Funeral Home, with a service at 8:00 PM. All who knew and loved Thomas Sola are invited to attend, share stories, and celebrate the life of a truly special man.
