Born in Greece 1959 and adopted as a baby, he was known to say that the one and only time he flew on a plane during his lifetime was the trip to his new home, the United States. Chris served as a devoted caregiver for both of his parents (Chris Palivas Sr. & Betty Katsoris Palivas) until their deaths. Later in life, he became an avid bicyclist riding from his home in the Bronx to Yonkers on many weekends. Chris was a generous and kind man who lived a simple life and was loved by his family, staff, and friends.
