Obituary of Ollie Minniefield

Please share a memory of Ollie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ollie Minniefield, 91, left an earthly existence for eternal rest with the Lord on April 19, 2020 while in her home surrounded by family. She was known for her wit, humor, wisdom, kind and light heartiness and spunk. Ollie was born in Kansas City, KS, to the late Howard Slocum and Josephine Slocum on September n19, 1928. She was also the widow of the late Wallace Minniefield. Ollie was predeceased in death by her daughter Christine Roseborough and her son John Roseborough, Jr. She was a devout Christian and a member of Shiloh AME Zion Church and an Eastern Starn at Rose of Sharon #29. Ollie was educated in New York Public Schools. She graduated from McKee High School at the age of 16 in 1944. She was employed at Willowbrook State School as a Mental Health Technician, and as a certified Nurse at Edger Nursing Home. Ollie touched many lives and her physical presence will certainly be missed, but she will never be forgotten. Left to cherish and honor her memory is her three daughters, Eleanor, Carolyn Roseborough and Monica Caldwell, and numerous grand, great and great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and friends whom all had a connection to her.
