Obituary of Thomas Krause Sr.

Thomas Joseph Krause, Sr. passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021, surrounded by family after a valiant battle with cancer. Tom was born on January 9,1940 to Jacob and Mary Krause and was one of 14 children. He attended school on Staten Island New York, graduating from Curtis High School. During his working life, Tom had multiple jobs and prior to his retirement he was a security officer for Local 32BJ. In June of 1963, Tom married his beloved Patricia (Patty) on Staten Island where they raised their 3 children, Tom Jr, Kenny and Michelle. They eventually moved to Glens Falls New York before finally settling in Manchester NJ. Tom was a devoted father to his 3 children, he was also Pop-Pop to 7 grandchildren: Megan, Austin, Nick, Alexandra (Alex), Michael, Ryan and Rachel and great-grandfather to Jeanna, Jessalyn, Jayda, Jace, Madison, Jaxson and Christian. He is predeceased by his wife Patty, father Jacob, mother Mary and siblings: Anne, Helen, John, Michael, Katherine, Pauline, George, Charles, Evelyn, Nick, Mamie and his twin sister Marie. He is survived by his brother Frank, many cousins, nieces and nephews along with his much beloved dog Dozer. Visitation will take place Friday December 10,2021 at Scamardella Funeral Home, 332 Broadway, Staten Island, New York from 3-7 PM with burial at Moravian Cemetery the following day.
