John Pyke was born in Watertown, NY to Sadie Palazzo and Samuel Pyke on 6/3/43. John wore many hats over his career, but most of it was spent as a Security guard, with his last employment at Staten Island College. He made many close lifelong friends there. John was an avid Mets fan and would often joke about wanting to be buried with his Mets hat. What John enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends. John was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
John is survived by his nieces Toni Roman, Jennifer Remmen, John Conigliaro, Angela Conigliaro, Vito Conigliaro, Laura Eldora Smalling, Lisa Eldora, Maryann Eldora, and Ronda Smith. He is preceded in death by his beloved partner of 39 years Henrietta Longo.
