Dolores Palmeri-Ortiz Obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Dolores Palmeri on October 20th, 2023. She was a legend in the South Beach community. Dolores was the leader of the Mothers of Marines Group on Staten Island and offered comfort, compassion, and direction for families with loved ones deployed to the Middle East during the war in Iraq. She is survived by her three children: her 1st and favorite, Joseph Dominick Palmeri (Katarina), her 2nd, the beloved Samantha Palmeri, and her 3rd, her best friend, Alissa Belligiere Ortiz. She is also survived by her small army of 9 grandchildren, Joseph, Jordan, Shylah, Gianna, Jenivieve, Santino, Gia, Harmoni, and Carmine, as well as her brother, Kevin Belligiere, whom she adored. She is also survived by her loving husband, Hector Tito Ortiz. She is preceded in death by her twin sister, and other half, Debbie Ciccariello. Services will be held at Scamardella Funeral Home, Wednesday October 24th, from 3pm until 6pm. Heaven has a new dancing Queen!
