Our beloved Mom, Manuela Miñauri Mendez passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2024. She was 95 years old. She is survived by her five children, Fernando Carcamo, Suyapa Castro, Maria Cordero, Omar Carcamo, Erika Rojas, her 22 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

Our dear Mom was born and raised in Honduras and came to live to New York in the early 80’s. Our Mom was a member of St. Marks Reform Church Hispanic Congregation. She loved the company of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family, going to church and helping the needy whenever she had a chance to so. Her departure leaves us with a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by the whole family and others who loved and cared for her deeply.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 3/13 at 4-8 pm at Scamardella Funeral Home located at 332 Broadway, Staten Island, NY. Follow by the Burial the following morning on Thursday, 3/14 at 10:30 a.m. at Silver Mount Cemetery, 918 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY.
